**Job Description**:
JOB SUMMARY
Provides resident-focused food service in the Long Term Care Home, including: preparation of resident meals and snacks; distribution and service of resident meals; receiving, storing and managing the inventory of resident food and food service supplies; daily cleaning and sanitizing of dishes, utensils and equipment used for resident meal preparation, delivery and service; operation of equipment; as well as other related duties as required for compliance and the efficient operation of the home. Works according to all applicable standards, acts and governing bodies.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, plus
Successful completion of one of the following as per legislation/Act: Food Service Worker certificate program Assistant Cook, Cook, or Institutional Cook certification program Food & Nutrition Management diploma or degree Active membership of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management Registered Di
