**Café / Cook /Barista Counter Service (East Village)**

Edge Kitchen - East Village, has just re-launched our Cafe location at 1927 E. Hastings. This retail location is part of Edge Catering, an established, thriving corporate and event catering company.

We are looking for a new café staff member with experience as both a customer facing Cook and Barista.

We are serious about our coffee and our food culture at edge, we make everything from scratch in our catering facility, we have an in-house pastry department and use the best ingredients. Our drinks are made with parallel 49 espresso on a commercial La Marazocco espresso machine. The space is small but upbeat with an industrial mínimalism design.

Edge Kitchen has a counter style service for eat in breakfast, lunch, coffee, pastries, and retail take-out. Our food was developed by 4 of Vancouver's top Chefs leading our Catering and Pastry divisions, truly an opportunity not to be missed.

General Responsibilities:

- Customer service (counter service with Square system)
- Prep and serve sandwiches, pastry, soups, and salads
- Prepare espresso coffee drinks to order
- Serve and clear tables (casual café style)
- Complete daily operations in cash management
- Maintenance of all equipment and space

**Requirements**:

- Customer service experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Food service environment
- Barista experience is an asset but not required
- FoodSafe level 1 (required)
- Legal to work in Canada (minimum 2 years on work permit)

This position will range from 4 days a week to full time based on business volume and will require availability from mornings starting between 7am to 10am.

**Salary**: $18.00-$19.00 per hour plus gratuity.
