**Inventory Assistant**

Nordic Minesteel Technologies is seeking a motivated **Inventory Assistant **to join our team. This is an excellent oppourtunity for someone looking for an ambitious, hands-on position with growth opportunities within a challenging and fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Accurately receive, inspect, label, record and store/route incoming material
- Check shipments received against bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders and/or any other related documents to ensure that any discrepancies or damages are identified, recorded, and brought to the appropriate departments' attention
- Locate, verify, issue and kit materials and supplies for operations and shipments
- Keep inventory of and submit purchase requisitions for shop supplies
- Cycle/inventory counts
- Keep warehouses and yard organized
- Provide back-up support for the other team members as required
- Use hand tools to assemble packaging
- Verify specifications by reading blueprints and measuring components
- Maintain a self-motivated, positive, and outgoing attitude

**Requirements**:

- Min 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong computer skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Ability to identify hardware and structural steel
- Ability to meet deadlines and multiple demands
- Capable of working outside in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lb
- Demonstrates the ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs
- Previous forklift experience is an asset

**Salary**: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
