University Pathway Coordinator

ILSC is looking for a full-time, permanent University Pathway Coordinator in Toronto

The University Pathway Program Coordinator is an integral part of the University Pathway Team in a thriving ESL school for international students. Students in the University Pathway Program have an end goal of transferring to a College or University. The program allows for students to transfer without having to do an English Proficiency test as agreements have been made with a number of College/University Partners. The position reports to the Director in Vancouver.

The position works closely with other University Pathway Coordinators across Canada, as well as ILSC registrars and student service coordinators, sales staff and Agents to support University Pathway students while they are at ILSC, while they prepare to go to a Partner and during their transition.

**Job Duties**:
The job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

- _**Student Advising** _- explaining post-secondary education system in Canada; providing information about different programs and partner options
- **_Class and attendance Monitoring_** - ensuring students are taking the correct classes and monitoring rates of absenteeism.
- **_Partner Tours, presentations & other program initiatives_** - taking students on campus tours, and supporting pathway initiatives
- **_Student Engagement post ILSC_** - following up with students after they transfer to a partner school, collecting data, testimonials.
- **_University Pathway Graduation_** - preparation & organization - includes coordinating guest speakers for the graduation ceremonies.
- **_Facilitating Orientation sessions_** - organizing and presenting information about the students’ responsibilities and opportunities
- **_Updating student information_** - on our student management system: student partner school info, level required etc.
- **_Responding to Inquiries_** - from ILSC staff, agents, partner schools and prospective students.
- **_Liaising with the Sales Department _**- to promote the program at local education fairs, presentations & training to Agents; organizing partner training for sales team
- **_Reports _**- providing monthly reports on enrolment, transfers to partners and other relevant data
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications, Skills and Abilities**:

- Undergraduate degree
- Experience in an international education environment
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Written and spoken fluency in Korean is required for this position
- A working knowledge of the post-secondary education system in Canada
- Genuinely concerned with the welfare, academic progress and personal growth of students & able to offer appropriate advice
- Works effectively in a fast-paced environment and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Experience communicating with ESL learners, other departments
- Positive attitude, ability to multi-task, willingness to learn and take on new duties and responsibilities
- A team player that works well independently with mínimal supervision
- Proactive with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
