**Position Details**
- Athletics & Recreation Services requires the services of part-time casual staff. These positions may require early morning, evening, weekend, and shift work. Athletics and Recreation Services is dedicated to innovation and excellence in sport & wellness facilities, education, and opportunities that contribute to making the regional communities of Southern Alberta a better place to live, learn and grow. As a member of the Horns Recreation family, these positions play an intricate role in building and maintaining relationships with the many users of the facility.

The Horns Recreation “Rec Staff” reports directly to the Manager, Horns Recreation Customer Service & Fitness. Responsible for providing daily operation support services in the Horns Recreation department, specifically in the areas of Customer Service and Fitness Centre.

Completion of daily checklists including:

- Opening/closing Customer Service and/or Fitness Centre
- Daily cleaning/maintenance checklists of Customer Service and/or Fitness Centre
- Facility monitoring:

- Day-to-day task assignments for monitoring Customer Service and/or Fitness Centre
- Supervision of facility users
- Regular walk abouts of Fitness Centre, Indoor Track, Gymnasiums, Locker Rooms and Studio spaces.
- Basic cleaning/janitorial duties:

- Cleaning equipment, wiping down mirrors, vacuuming floors and conditioning upholstery
- Laundry
- Assisting with basic facility set up requirements:

- Curtains
- Blinds
- Bleachers
- Customer Service:

- Membership sales
- Program registrations
- Daily visit passes
- Phone inquiries
- Fitness Centre:

- Assist Facility Operations staff with identified technical operation tasks, including monthly and annual inspections,
- Equipment repairs and replacements.

**Position Qualifications**

**Education**:

- High School Diploma or Completion of Secondary School (required)
- College Diploma (preferred).

**Years Experience**:

- 1 Year (required)
- 2+ Years (preferred)

**Certifications**:

- Intermediate First Aid/CPR-C/AED (required)
- WHIMIS (preferred; training available on-site)

**Technical Skills**:

- Microsoft Office/Microsoft Teams (required)
- Fusion Software (preferred; training available on-site)

**Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
