CKF Inc. is a leading manufacturer of molded pulp, including Royal Chinet tableware, and extruded polystyrene products with five plants across Canada. The Langley location is seeking a Supply Chain Manager. With a strong commitment to safety and efficiencies, the Manager is responsible to organize and monitor the distribution and storage of products with a goal to enhance business development, ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction. CKF Inc. actively supports Lean Six Sigma concepts.
**Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:
- Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service by:
- Controlling the logistics of transporting our products to customers.
- Developing and tracking budget for Logistics Department
- Reviewing the cost of shipments for efficiencies and redundancies
- Developing solutions for freight and traffic requirements
- Negotiating with carriers to ensure cost effectiveness
- Monitor production scheduling, shipping and warehousing by:
- Working with production schedulers and shipping supervisor to prioritize production and shipments to ensure they are aligned with customer demands.
- Reviewing production scheduling, inventories, warehousing/shipping practices with a mandate to implement improvements
- Maintaining inventory levels liaising with stakeholders such as Accounting, Production and Purchasing.
- Negotiating contracts with third parties in the transportation and warehousing of product and equipment.
- Maintaining suitable inventory levels working with production schedulers and purchasers
- Manage the Logistics Department by:
- Establishing short & long term goals that are strategically linked to Sales, Transportation & the Operating Plan.
- Developing and mentoring logistics employees
- Monitors Packaging (corrugate/plastics/pallets by:
- Working with schedulers to determine packaging requirements and making appropriate purchases
- Implementing improvements re: packaging reductions, sustainability initiatives, etc.
- Negotiating with suppliers and third parties
- Researching market and supplier information to establish annual budget and standards
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Post secondary education (Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent.
- Professional designation CCLP and/or P.Log is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, shipping and customer service related activities preferably at the management level.
- Working knowledge of Operations in the areas of Scheduling and Inventory Control
- Proficient in MS Office
- Working knowledge of Worker’s Compensation, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

- Ability to lead, facilitate change and motivate employees within a unionized manufacturing environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills.
- Above average analytical and problems solving skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $55,009.44-$90,865.05 per year
