**Job Title: Tour Bus Greeter**
**Job Summary**:
Maple Leaf Place, a 20,000 square foot one-stop-shop souvenir store, and attraction has been serving international tourists in Niagara Falls for over 30 years.
The Bus Greeter is responsible for warmly welcoming and assisting tourists who arrive at Maple leaf place attraction via tour buses. As the first encounter of every tourist, your primary role is to provide a friendly and helpful experience for all the guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and oriented to the attraction.
You will also be responsible for providing general information about the entire attraction on the property, for example the hungry moose (restaurant), the maple trail (maple syrup attraction) and the souvenir store. Also answering tourists’ inquiries and directing them to the various facilities.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- pleasantly greeting tourists with great enthusiasm as they get off the tour buses.
- Handing out the 10% discount bookmarks to guests from the company that gets them.
- It is established that not all companies get bookmarks. However, you are required to pleasantly welcome guests from local companies like scenic tours of Niagara, Over the falls etc. Acknowledging their presence and making them feel welcome. All this must be carried out while you are on your feet.
- Provide tourists with information about the tourist attractions.
- Answer inquiries and assist tourists in finding their way around the attraction, including directions to various facilities (restrooms, restaurant, maple trail & souvenir shop)
- It is highly important to maintain a highly professional and pleasant demeanor, ensuring exceptional customer service is provided to all visitors including Walk-ins.
- During peak periods, you have to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and minimize congestion by working in liaison with other staff members to ensure all buses are checked in and out accordingly.
- Monitor and report any safety or security concerns to the supervisor/manager Example tour guide/driver’s misconduct.
- Please ensure that the designated area for greeting buses and welcoming tourists is clean, organized, and attractive always (all outside garbage to be changed when full and the side doors to be cleaned).
- At the end of your shift, you are required to fill in all the bookmarks and arrange them, accordingly, also making sure that the podium is tidy, organized, and ready for the next day.
