Full time shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

The Building Attendant is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents and ignites the warmth of human connection.

As a Building Attendant your typical day will impact the following ways:

- Transport residents to medical appointments and scheduled shopping excursions
- Transport residents to visit a spouse in hospital or long term care facility
- Fulfill scheduled transportation requests and complete extra duties as time permits
- Responsible for cleaning vans (inside & outside)
- Responsible for keeping vans filled with fuel
- Responsible for reporting maintenance concerns and requirements of the vans
- Assist residents in and out of the van

Must haves:

- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
- Understand driving laws and regulations
- Ability to perform minor facility maintenance duties such as snow removal and landscaping
- Ability to perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
- Ability to navigate the city effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge of fire procedures
- Knowledge of WHMIS legislation and ensure chemicals are properly labeled and labels are readable

- Experience working with seniors is an asset
