Under the clinical direction and general supervision of the Head Technologist of the Echo Lab, performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart (echocardiograms), and related procedures according to established guidelines. Performs studies using 2-D, M-mode, continuous wave, pulsed wave and colour flow Doppler and identifies specific diseases and conditions using sonographic data. Enters patient data into the echo lab database, participates in quality control of ultrasound systems, participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
**Education**: Graduation from a recognized cardiac echo sonographer program; and American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Certified or Canadian Association of Registered Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP) Certified.
