**Job Description**:
AECOM’s Winnipeg team is currently seeking an **Urban Planner **to join our growing Buildings and Places team.
**Job Summary**:

The Buildings and Places team is a vibrant and growing business line. We are looking for a self-starter comfortable jumping in with both feet to new projects. You are not afraid to ask questions, work collaboratively and also work independently when required.
Working with our Urban Planners and Designers, engineers and other technical specialists, your responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Manage complex planning and urban design projects for municipalities, Indigenous Communities and private sector clients;
- Analyze, summarize and provide planning advice for community, urban and regional planning projects, applicable policy and legislation;
- Coordinate projects, develop and administer work plans, schedules and budgets to advance projects, and collaborate with project team members and sub-consultants;
- Support urban / community planning tasks such as site planning / analysis, land use, transportation, climate planning;
- Design, coordinate and facilitate Stakeholder, Public and Indigenous Engagement Programs, prepare and deliver presentations, reports and other project related deliverables;
- Monitor, log analyze and summarize internal and external stakeholder engagement;
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other project related deliverables;
- Develop front facing, readable, well-designed communications materials;
- Work under supervision of a senior-level planning team member and support interdisciplinary project teams; and
- Support client business development, identify opportunities, promote urban and community planning services, develop relationships, and generate business through client development and preparation of proposals.
**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
Eligibility for Full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and Manitoba Professional Planners Institute (MPPI).
**Preferred Qualifications**
Master’s degree in Planning or related field.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD /GIS.
Experience working on First Nations /Indigenous/Northern Community Planning projects, and commitment to engaging with Indigenous ways of knowing.
Knowledge and experience working with MS Office (Project), Primavera P6, AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
Great interpersonal skills including relationship building, and an ability to work collaboratively across integrated teams.
Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
