Louis W Bray Construction is currently seeking a full-time Yard Coordinator to join our winning team and support the completion of Heavy Civil Construction projects throughout the Ottawa area.

**Responsibilities**:

- To support the Equipment Manager in assisting the day-to-day operations as well as inventory of construction materials.
- To promote safety, quality and reliability in all activities conducted by the construction team.
- Perform yard and property maintenance duties as required (e.g., shovel walkways, trim weeds etc.)
- Operate forklifts and other construction equipment will the utmost care and caution
- Load and unload floats and trailers
- Pick up and deliver material tools and equipment to various job sites and vendors
- Keep yard and shop and grounds clean and organized at all times.
- Responsible for assisting in the planning and scheduling all internal maintenance activities.
- Assist the Asset Manager as needed with coordination of vendor support activities and other projects as needed.
- Assist with dispatching of vehicles and equipment as needed, assist with all permits, licenses, safety checks, as required by regulations.
- Maintain supply files including inventory, repairs and maintenance.
- Assist in reviewing, scheduling and coordinating ongoing maintenance activities to minimize cost and down time.

Required Skills and Experience
- Practical knowledge and with experience with the function and operation of construction yard equipment is required
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel out of town on occasion
- Multitasking and problem solving is a must.
- Must hold a valid G level driver’s license and be comfortable towing trailers and large loads permitted within that license classification
- Must have training and experience with Forklift operation
