Dr. Dembo has taken his patented multi-factor scenario modeling expertise and combined it with a team of cutting-edge climate scientists, data scientists, and computer science experts to create a method for measuring climate risk that is rooted in first principles of financial risk management. **Position Overview** You will work as part of the Climate Risk Team at Riskthinking.ai and will be instrumental in improving the quality and availability of the data used in our scenario products. This includes compiling, interpreting, evaluating, and presenting climate risk data in innovative ways, and contributing to the improvement and augmentation of the data using machine learning approaches. We are building high-quality tools and vibrant communities of experts to support decision-makers to develop plans and policies that account for and minimize the risks that they face due to climate change. We want you to help us make that vision a reality Position Responsibilities - Design methodologies to enhance best practices in risk modelling and climate analytics by incorporating RTAI data infrastructure - Knowledge of data management and visualization techniques. - Strong experience and knowledge in climate change risk assessments, climate impact modelling, adaptation and vulnerability topics (for example, the IPCC domain), climate scenarios and projected changes. - Experience in geospatial analysis, data science or simulation models related to the environmental and socio-economic impacts of climate change, including the impact on infrastructure. - Analysis of climate datasets to establish constraints, mechanistic connections, or sensitivity of target quantities to sources of variability (natural or forced) - Analysis of climate variability and large-scale dynamics (e.g., El Niño-Southern Oscillation, North Atlantic Oscillation / Polar Vortex, Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation, Quasi-biennial oscillation) - Work alongside the CTO, CPO, and Sales teams to provide technical support, and participate in the design, development, and validation of products through all stages of the products lifecycle. **Requirements**: **Technical Requirements** - Have proficiency in commonly-used Computer languages used for modeling and analysis (C, C++, Fortran, Python, Julia, R, Matlab) - Minimum of 2 years of experience demonstrated ability to conduct studies to analyze remote sensing and/or environmental data, or climate models (e.g. Earth systems, power, water, food, sensor systems, ecological restoration). **Additional Requirements** - Excellent project management skills; enthusiastic about working on multiple fast paced projects at the same time - Significant potential and willingness to grow as a leader - Intellectually curious and always seeking to learn - Team oriented; enthusiastic about receiving help and helping others - Creative thinker that is also very analytical and detail oriented; capable of driving a concept from ideation to development and implementation **Benefits** - Work From Home - Flexible hours - Paid Time Off Benefits (4 weeks per year) - Training & Development
