**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Registered Nurse, the Therapeutic Assistant assists in the provision of health, health promotion and therapeutic services to the rehabilitation population. The Therapeutic Assistant will work cooperatively and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team in carrying out the individual’s treatment program and communicating patient-specific information that will enhance the level of knowledge of the treatment team.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade XII plus a two year certificate/diploma from a Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation Program or Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation
- Current CPR certification is required
- Current St. John Ambulance First Aid course preferred
- Current certification in Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) is an asset
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of community resources
- Competencies in other languages preferred; French an asset

**Hours of Work**:
Long Assignment, Full Time (100%) Position; 75 hours bi-weekly

Approximately 11 Months.

Evening and weekend work may be required

**Salary Information**:
$20.51 - $22.37 Hourly
