**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and deliver engaging and rigorous Biology and Chemistry lessons aligned with AP and IB standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and assignments.
- Provide individualized support and feedback to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
- Stay current with developments in science education and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies into the classroom.
- Prepare students for AP and IB exams through effective instruction and review sessions.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification or credential in Biology and/or Chemistry.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Biology and Chemistry at the high school level, with specific experience in AP and/or IB programs and **familiarity with the BC course curriculum.**:

- Strong understanding of AP and IB curricula and examination requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Advanced degrees or certifications in education, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and assessment strategies.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
