Experienced Server

In the restaurant and bar world, a server is basically a magician. You make the food and drinks people ask for magically appear, and you don’t even need a top hat or a wand. Your hard work and attention puts our guests at ease. They can just come in, sit down and enjoy. They don’t have to worry about how long you cook a salmon fillet. They don’t have to think about how much dry vermouth is in a martini. They just ask for it, and you make it happen for them. For the hour or so they sit at their table, you make it possible for them to be completely and totally relaxed. And if that isn’t magic, we don’t know what is.

**What you'll do**:

- Genuinely connect and communicate with every guest in your section and every guest that you interact with (even if they aren’t in your section)
- Effectively finesse the menu and communicate your vast knowledge and expertise about food and bar menus with ease
- Go the ‘extra step’ to accommodate guest requests and suggestions
- Continuously ensure that every guest leaves satisfied and happy with their experience. In the event of a concern or conflict, you will immediately involve a Manager to positively resolve the situation
- Proactively assist other servers with table maintenance, running food, side duties, assisting to take payments, etc.
- Ensure that all guests receive a ‘remarkably consistent’ experience
- ‘Be knowledgeable regarding allergy policies and procedures to ensure that guests are not at risk of an allergic reaction
- Take the time to effectively learn and memorize new menu items and procedures
- Uphold an upbeat attitude - you are always ready to greet the next guest when they walk through the door
- Work each shift with a safety mindset. Be proactive in regards FOH and BOH safety(food safety, potential hazards for employees or guests)

- **Who you are**:

- You are a genuine, charming, vibrant and team-oriented individual
- You have a minimum of 1 year FOH restaurant experience. We will consider the right person, with the right attitude who can back-up their abilities through previous work, or involvement in teams (school, work or sports)
- You pride yourself on y our customer service skills, your ability to make people feel ‘at home’, your reliability and your ability to ‘keep upbeat’ even during the busiest shifts
- You are solution focused and resourceful - you think ‘on your feet’ effectively to find resolutions to situations
- You are able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks without skipping a beat
- You can easily and quickly become ‘a part of a team’ and you are a great communicator
- You are easily coachable and see feedback as an opportunity to keep improving your skills and abilities
- You might have future aspirations to be employed as Store Management

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25- 35 per week

**Salary**: $15.65 per hour
