**Job Summary**
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring construction work meet the established quality standards through various inspection processes.

**Duties**
- Conduct inspections, tests, and evaluations to verify compliance with engineering standards.
- Provide constructability input to design processes and on-site construction activities.
- Independently validate construction designs and seal engineering documents and drawings.
- Geotechnical field activities including but not limited to borehole layout, geotechnical drilling, cross-fall measurement, and shoring systems;
- Prepare analysis reports and specifications to effectively communicate structural design and construction principles to clients and third parties.
- Manage, coordinate and conduct a wide variety of geotechnical investigations and geotechnical designs related to commercial and residential development.
- Geotechnical and geostructural foundations design (shallow, raft and deep piles, drilled shaft, caissons, etc.) for all sorts of small to large scale structures including buildings, bridges, embankments.
- Shoring and excavation support for temporary shafts and basement excavation and permanent underground access; (eg. Anchor, nail, soldier pile, etc.)
- Engineered fills
- MSE walls systems;
- Slope stability and embankment assessments;
- Assist other inspectors in the company with team projects

**Qualifications**
- University degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
- 5 years experience in structural, inspection on road and/or bridge construction projects, particularly with ground-structure interaction.
- Strong knowledge of Transportation Engineering principles and Jurisdictional Design Guidelines (e.g. TAC, MTO, OPSD, OPSS, CAITM).
- Experience in foundation engineering and temporary works.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independent or as part of a team; and
- Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
- Knowledge of standard engineering and construction principles, practices and techniques, plus pertinent codes, regulations and statutes
- Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations within the area.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
