The Municipal Group of Companies, based in Bedford Nova Scotia, is a large, diversified organization engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction, mining, transportation, and environmental services within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking the expertise of a Financial Analyst based out of Halifax Regional Municipality, NS.

**Job Summary**:
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
Develop financial models that help with strategic decision making & pricing.
Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting and project support to senior management
Produce weekly and monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance analysis
Design and schedule the reporting of key performance indicators for management in a concise summary leveraging data from multiple systems
Predict trends in business operations to produce forecasts and recommendations on required actions
Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Any other duties as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:
Post-secondary certificate/degree in a business or management field
Relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or other related fields
Professional accounting or finance designation would be considered an asset
Strong attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work in a team environment or independently as required
Strong work ethic, and positive attitude
Excellent MS Office skills, with strong working knowledge of Excel
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Experience developing and implementing financial and data models considered an asset
