Technical Trainer - HVAC or Hearth

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Gather and analyze training needs to design, develop, and facilitate technical training programs that enhance the required knowledge and skills (Installation; Troubleshooting; Servicing) of a Hearth or HVAC appliance.
- Design and execute experiential, hands-on practical exercises that allow learners to further experience a Hearth or HVAC appliance, whilst enhancing the overall training experience for the learner.
- Maintain technical training content and all associated resources, ensuring training is always up to date.
- Participate in the creation and production of technical training videos, as required.
- Achieve and maintain personal knowledge and experience on all existing and new Hearth and HVAC appliances.
- Develop and assist in the implementation of continuous and process improvement ideas.
- Author and maintain training guides on each training topic within the training program curriculum.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various organizational groups, as required.

Education and Experience:

- University Degree or College Diploma in Gas or Refrigeration trade.
- Minimum 3 years of field experience within either the Hearth or HVAC industry as an installer or service specialist.
- G2 Gas Fitter required, 313A or 313D refrigeration required for HVAC trainer, an asset for Hearth. WETT certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools - Word and PowerPoint are essential.
- Adult Education experience, Training Needs Analysis would both be advantageous to the applicant.
- Flexibility to travel anywhere within North America for extended periods is required.
