**Overview**
Cottonwood Golf Course is looking for Volunteers to become Players Assistants for the 2025 season and possibly beyond. The Players Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Golf Shop with various duties around the course. The main priority will be monitoring the pace of play on the course. Other duties will include staging carts for events directing traffic in the parking lot and starting groups off the first tee among other duties.

This position is ideal for individuals who are out going and enjoy being outside. Experience with the game of golf and etiquette is essential.

The volunteer Position comes with some excellent perks such as free golf and discounts on merchandise in the Golf Shop. Volunteers receive the same staff benefits as the full time employees. Full details provided during the interview process.

**Duties**
- Greet members and guest and direct them to where they need to go
- Monitor pace of play on the golf course
- Fill divots with sand and seed on tee boxes and fairways
- Provide support to the Golf Shop staff
- Stage carts and direct traffic during events
- Ability to work well within a team environment

**Experience**
While prior experience as a Players Assistant or Starter is not mandatory, our volunteers need to be familiar with the game of golf and the etiquette. This position is based outside so willingness to be outside for several hours at a time in necessary. Most shifts are approximately 5 hours in duration, shifts are available 7 days a week. Schedules are very flexible and can be discussed during the interview process.

Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week
