We are currently searching for a** Junior Maintenance Technician **to join our team. This is a part-time shift position at our Terra Losa location.

**Position Summary**:
The Junior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance. The Junior Maintenance Technician will maintain various pieces of equipment, and provide assistance as directed in the maintenance department. Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. This position will gain the opportunity to learn and grow in the position, with the opportunity to work alongside senior maintenance technicians.

**What You Bring to the Role**:

- High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License required.
- Clear criminal record check completed a maximum of three (3) months prior to the ‘date of hire’ required.
- Strong written and verbal English skills to effectively communicate with all residents, visitors and at all levels within the organization required.
- Working towards a trade certificate or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance would be considered an asset.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization of maintenance schedule and files in a changing environment.
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to demonstrate necessary cost control measures.
- Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Ability to work in an infectious disease outbreak environment and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Perform minor repairs on plumbing and fixtures.
- Monitors inventory levels of supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of supplies as needed.
- Assists with setup and/or movement of equipment.
- Responds to maintenance inquiries from staff and residents.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services.
- Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detects faulty operations, defective material, and reports those and any unusual situations to senior maintenance.
- Complete ground maintenance.
- Maintains accurate records of all equipment - including inventory and repair history.
- Perform garbage pickup around the job site and perform general cleaning duties.
- Snow removal, sanding, and keeps sidewalks and road, free of debris on an ongoing basis.
- Operates grounds-keeping power equipment and maintain external property.
- Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted.
- Working on ladders.
- Participates in Occupational Health & Safety protocols.
- Engage in friendly, polite conversation with residents.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Work Conditions**
- On call duties are required.
- Physically strenuous work.
