We are all about our community and making our customers feel welcome, comfortable, and happy, and most importantly we want to show our little customers a good time

Our facility is geared towards children under the age of 6 YRS old

We offer Drop In play 5 days a week and Birthday Parties on the weekend, and After School Care for 3 local schools

We are looking for Program Coordinator to lead our After School kids Program for children

4-6YRS old.

We are looking for someone reliable with a high level of energy and a commitment to working with children

The Program Coordinators number one goal is to ensure that they are planning and leading exciting, outcome-based activities that fosters a fun and inclusive program

**What you’ll need**
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience and/or academic background in working with youth and children in a community based setting
- Experience with program planning, implementation, and evaluation of community based programs
- Demonstrated experience in community outreach
- Proven administrative skills
- Proven organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in organizing, promoting and/or facilitation of special events
- First Aid qualifications (minimum of Emergency First Aid) is an asset, or must be willing to obtain certificate prior to commencement of work assignment
- HIGH FIVE certification is an asset (ongoing training and development will be provided)

**Here is what a typical day in the role of a Program Leader looks like**
- Attend any training sessions as assigned before the start of or during the program
- Be respectful, open-to, and receptive of coaching and mentoring from supervisors
- Arrive each day on time and leave after the debrief at the end of each day
- Be able to pick up children from school
- Support the site team to create an exceptional camp program
- Creating a fun and energetic learning environment on a daily basis
- Prepare program planning for each week and ensure our program runs safely
- Ability to motivate and keep children engaged for long periods of time
- Help and Supervise the Junior Program Leaders organize activities and ensure all required supplies and materials are available for each day
- Work with site staff to role our new initiatives and recreational activities
- Ensure snacks are safely stored and hand them out to our after school children
- Ability to pick up children from school
- Walking distance
- Communicates with guardian of program participants to address any concerns or urgent situations
- Report to the Supervisor any concerns or incidences related to safety, health, behavior; including parent question

**PLEASE NOTE** - In order to be eligible Program Leader applicants need to be atleast 18 years or above. Applicants 18 years of age and over, must present a valid and suitable Police Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening) prior to commencing employment.

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
