**About The Job**

Bent Arrow is currently seeking a Career Counsellor for the Employment Career Centre with the Journey to Success pre-employment program.

The Employment Career Centre is committed to empowering individuals through career development skills and employment support. The Employment Career Centre serves as a vital hub providing career services to job seekers of all backgrounds. We are seeking a passionate, experienced career counsellor to support daily operations of the center and the Journey to Success program.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide individual career counselling and employment support to clients, including resume development, job search strategies, interview preparation and career planning.
- Support clients in accessing training and employment opportunities by developing action plans and tracking progress.
- Maintain accurate records and submit reports in compliance with the program requirements.
- Promote the Employment Career Centre services through outreach activities and community engagement.
- Stay current on labor market trends, employment legislation and best practice in career development.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Excellent computer skills, Microsoft office, Office 365, experience working in a database.
- Must have strong organizational skills, including verbal and written communication.
- Excellent resume writing skills
- Conflict resolution and strong problem solving
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of job search techniques, career assessment tools and employment resources
- Career Counsellor experience an asset
- Experience working with a diverse populations
- All successful applicants must provide a criminal record check and child intervention check within the last 6 months.

**Salary and Benefits**:

- Wage or compensation: $47,431.68 annually - raise after 3 months
- Paid sick and wellness days after 3 months’ probation (pro-rated)
- Extended Health Benefit (50/50 cost sharing) after 6 months’ employment.
- Working approximately 34.5 hours per week

Pay: $47,431.68-$49,803.26 per year
