As a result of continued growth, we’re seeking to hire a qualified Payroll/Human Resources administrator to work at our Hamilton office from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Payroll/Human Resources Administrator will report to the HR Manager and be responsible for payroll processing, assisting with recruitment, maintaining employee records, and providing administrative support where required.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Process payroll for employees using Spire software
- Calculate and enter employee hours and deductions from timesheets
- Maintain employee records related to payroll
- Review and update job descriptions and interview questions
- Schedule necessary training and maintain training records
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, performance management, performance reviews, employee recognition programs, and the health and safety program
- Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee and ensure compliance with all requirements and regulations
- Support the HR manager with all HR functions as required
- Other duties as assigned/required
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
