**Commodity Responsibility**:
Reporting to the Commodity Manager, the Commodity Assistant will be responsible for all commodities: peppers, cucumbers & mini cucumbers, tomatoes and eggplant

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist commodity team to allocate product as per customer specifications
- Review incoming product for quality
- Communicate quality concerns with Commodity Team and Quality Control (QC)
- Communicate with Commodity Team and/or sales if cuts are being made due to shortage or quality not meeting specifications
- Allocate product for production if the product needs to be re-worked
- Print out and work directly from daily Famous inventory report
- Physically tag all product for shipping; product being straight shipped and production; product needing to be repacked
- Verify finished product based on customer specifications
- Tag next day allocation for early trucks based on Commodity Team decisions
- Review all product allocated for production and discuss quality concerns with QC department
- Note discrepancies to Inventory Manager and QC Manager and resolve immediately to maintain live inventory

**Qualifications**
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with fresh produce, knowledge of Quality standards
- FAMOUS experience is considered an asset
- Demonstrated attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Computer and data entry experience, maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to work independently, with mínimal supervision
- Flexible and able to work Saturdays and Holidays

Pay: $19.80 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
