**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health & Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. You will work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, facilitate group therapy sessions, and monitor their progress throughout the recovery process. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping clients achieve their goals and lead healthier lives.

**Duties**
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery strategies and coping skills.
- Provide education on substance abuse, addiction, and the recovery process to clients and their families.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in substance abuse counseling.

**Skills**
- Strong understanding of substance abuse disorders and treatment methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Empathy and active listening skills to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational skills for managing client records and documentation.
- Knowledge of community resources available for individuals in recovery is a plus.
- Certification or licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor is mandatory.

This position is for evenings and weekends at our in-patient center. Pay: $26.08-$45.36 per hour
