- Reporting to the Campus Director, the ECE Instructor is responsible for delivering components of the courses to students._

**Responsibilities**:

- Instructs curriculum using only pre-authorized or Sprott Shaw materials.
- Attends monthly ECE team meetings and professional development workshops. Attends practicum meetings if needed.
- Distributes and explains course outlines, defines course objectives, and distributes textbooks and course materials at the beginning of the course.
- Grades and checks daily work, projects, and quizzes in a timely fashion according to guidelines.
- Follows procedures for administering, recording grades and filing assessments. Marks in a timely fashion and according to guidelines provided.
- Accurately maintains attendance sheets after the synchronous teaching sessions and checks the student engagement in the asynchronous lessons and activities in G3.
- Allows every student the chance to evaluate the course and teaching methods using the student evaluation form at the end of every course.
- Provides Head Office with an evaluation of each course taught.
- Visits, mentors, coordinates and evaluates practicum students during their field practice if needed.
- Participates in graduation functions.
- Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
The minimum instructor requirements include a combination of education, occupational experience and teaching experience as follows:

- A certificate/diploma/degree related to the field of instruction
- Active certificate with Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Registry
- ECE instructors require the relevant certification related to the field of instruction (ECE, IT or SN) supplemented by a minimum of 24 months of occupational (paid work) experience in the field of instruction (for IT: work experience with infants and toddlers; for CWE: experience with the inclusive practice).
