Xwchíyò:m (Cheam First Nation) is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and maintain our office’s IT infrastructure and support systems. As the sole IT specialist in a small office, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and secure IT operations, supporting employees with technical issues, and driving improvements in technology usage within the office. The IT Manager will manage all aspects of IT support, network infrastructure, hardware, software, and data security.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and maintain office network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi networks. Ensure reliable internet connectivity for all employees.
- Administer and manage internal systems (servers, storage, workstations, cloud account, users, etc.). Ensure proper backups and data protection measures are in place.
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues. Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and other office devices.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption to protect company data and networks from threats.
- Provide front-line support to resolve technical issues, responding to employee support requests for troubleshooting computer issues, diagnosing and resolving software, hardware, network, and system access problems.
- Manage user access and permissions across the network, ensuring secure connectivity and efficient operation for all employees.
- Administer and support Microsoft-based products, including Windows OS, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange, ensuring their effective and secure usage within the organization.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for purchasing IT equipment, software, and services. Handle any warranty claims or support contracts.
- Regularly evaluate and update IT infrastructure to keep up with technological advances. Ensure hardware and software are running optimally. Plan and execute regular maintenance and upgrades for software, software license renewals, hardware, and security systems to keep all IT components up-to-date and secure.
- Develop, implement and maintain documentation for IT systems, processes, policies, procedures, user guides and training materials.
- Generate reports on system performance and IT costs for management review.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on IT best practices, software tools, and secure use of technology.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of system failure or data loss.
- Develop and implement IT strategies and infrastructure to support the company's growth, operations, goals and objectives.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Collaborate with all departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions.
- Continuously analyze current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company's IT infrastructure remains up to date.
- Develop and manage the IT budget.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with at least 6 years of progressive experience in the IT field.
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar IT role, preferably in a small office or start-up environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and databases. Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and services.
- Proficiency with hardware troubleshooting, software installation, and network administration.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices. In-depth understanding of IT security and compliance standards and the ability to scale them appropriately for growth.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Adaptable, proactive, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience working with First Nations Communities is considered is an asset.
- Valid BC Driver’s License, Class 5.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check must be bondable

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with system automation and scripting.
- Knowledge of industry-specific software or tools used by the business.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.
- Project management skills to effectively plan, execute, and monitor IT projects.

**Work Environment**:
