**Primary Responsibilities**
- **Primary responsibilities will be**:_
- Using best practices to safely restrain pets during exams and treatment.
- Making sure the pets staying in the kennels have clean and comfortable accommodations.
- Assist the veterinarian in examining animals
- Assist the veterinarian in preparation of the animals for surgery
- Monitor record of drugs used
- Updating patient records and notes regarding care in their electronic file.
- Assisting with curbside service
- Communicating with clients about their pet’s visit and care.
- Answering phones and schedule appointments
- Connect with the vending companies
- Maintain the cleanliness of the floors and tables
- Maintain inventory

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma
- Has obtained associate Diploma in Veterinary Technician/Assistant or is currently attending school for vet technician/assistant
- Experience in customer service both in person and over the phone is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to effectively prioritize and meet multiple requests at one time.
- Must be tech savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Availability to work

**Physical Requirements**
- Routinely Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Have prolonged periods of standing.
- Need to frequently bend and twist.

**Hours & Availability**

**We operate in two locations;**
- **Lakeshore Animal Hospital in Fort Erie on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9AM-5PM.**:

- **Lundy’s Lane Animal Hospital in Niagara Falls on Wednesdays 9AM-5PM.**

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Fort Erie, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
