Personal Support Worker

**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Assist patients with daily living (AM & PM Care) activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene protocols and cleaning standards.
- Assist with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when required.
- Monitor and report changes in patient's conditions to nursing staff promptly.
- Support dementia care by engaging patients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function.
- Document patient care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
**Experience**
- Previous experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities or home care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with senior care practices and patient care techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in meal preparation and understanding the dietary needs of seniors is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as needed in patient support tasks.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for success in this role.
