**Summary of Responsibilities**:
The role of a Room Attendant is one of the most vital positions in the operation of a hotel. Every detail makes a huge impression on our guests, and it is up to you to help ensure every room is cleaned in accordance to our established quality and performance standards. As a Room Attendant in our dynamic Housekeeping team, you will need to have a fine attention to detail as well as a positive can-do attitude.

Job Duties and Requirements:
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

- Cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the guest rooms including full kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, bedrooms, fireplaces, balconies, and closets.
- Stripping rooms, making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming and moping rooms.
- Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces
- Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste
- Complete any assigned paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform deep cleaning of the rooms and public areas when required.
- Co-operate with the housekeeping team to complete all assigned tasks for the day in a timely and efficient manner, including room cleaning, supply re-stocking, cleaning of common areas, and any other duties as reasonably requested by the Housekeeping Manger or Supervisor.
- Promptly respond to guest requests in a professional manner.
- Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
- Report maintenance and repair issues to the Maintenance Department or immediate manager/supervisor.
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Program and the Regulation of WorkSafeBC.
- Report any unsafe conditions, practices or injuries to their supervisor as soon as possible.

Prerequisites:
Someone who has a great attention to details as well as fine observational skills.

Has excellent communication and organizational skills and is completely fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Is reliable and available to work when needed, especially weekends and holidays.

Looking for someone who is highly reliable, works well in an unsupervised environment as well as has strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

Has the ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as well as part of a team.

Commitment to provide excellent service and to exceed guests’ expectations.

Someone who has the ability to adhere to safe work practices and follow guidelines.

Physical fitness and dexterity are an asset.

Has a friendly and enthusiastic manner

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to $22.00 per hour
