Our team continues to grow We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant / Law Clerk to join our Family Law Department at our Barrie or Collingwood location.

Responsibilities of this role include:

- Performing general administrative support related to files including opening files, preparation of accounts and client billings, reporting on matters, processing of payments, maintaining an active filing system and closing files;
- Organizing and overseeing lawyer’s calendar;
- Draft correspondence and court documents;
- Draft and analyze financial statements and disclosures;
- Correspond with opposing counsel and court offices;
- Understanding of the _Family Law Rules _and local practice direction
