BHC Environmental is a division of Birchhill Construction. We provide a diverse range of
sanitary and stormwater inspections, cleaning, rehab solutions and hydro vac services. Due to
expansion of our business, we are seeking a highly motivated and energetic CCTV operator to
keep up with the ever-growing demands of commercial, residential and municipal
infrastructures.
Currently seeking an experienced CCTV inspection professional to operate our CCTV
equipment, record and code inspections and train co-workers in the operation of this equipment.
Job duties and expectations include but are not limited to:
Responsible for accurate CCTV inspection of underground infrastructure and providing a
correct diagnosis of potential issues, such as, blockages, roots, debris, and various other
forms of pipe defects and deterioration.
- Operating equipment in a safe and professional manner and ensuring safety procedures
are followed.
- Always providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer and client
satisfaction.
- Troubleshooting and overcoming any technical issues that may arise on site.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of equipment and vehicles. Maintain CCTV
equipment in excellent operating condition by adjusting, cleaning, lubricating and
performing minor repairs. Store equipment in a safe and proper manner. Maintain a
supply of replacement parts and supplies required to conduct inspections. Report any
malfunctions or inefficiencies to supervisor to ensure proper repair in a timely manner.
- CCTV Operators will supervise activities of labourers and flusher operators assigned to
assist with inspection and will provide leadership and task delegation to the labourers
and flusher operators through coaching and mentoring to ensure employee skill
development.
- Complete all required paperwork properly and within set timelines. Paperwork may
include inspection reports, time sheets, daily reports etc.
- Possible confined space entry

Minimum 2 years experience using CCTV equipment to inspect underground
infrastructure. Leadership roles considered an asset.
- NASSCO (National Association of Sewer Service Companies) certification is and asset.
PACP certified (LACP, MACP certification considered an advantage)
- Pipe rehab experience considered an advantage (Pipe patch/re-lining)
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and members of the public.
- Minimum class 5 driver’s license
- Strong computer skills, punctual, reliable and in good health. Some physical duties may
be required.
- Ability to work in a team environment and keeps a positive attitude and outlook with staff,
customers and members of the public.
- Ability to work out of town if required.
