**Your day to day activities will include**:

- Manage the planning, scheduling and execution of the production schedule including daily delegation of tasks to the 2nd Millers to meet product demand
- Manage the reception, handling, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of the warehouse
- Ensure all bagged production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules
- Supervise a team of 2nd Millers, including delegation, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties
- Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product
- Take into account full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when scheduling transfers
- Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials
- Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment
- Assess the need for, and arrange the purchase of, moving equipment like, forklifts, dollies, and so on
- Ensure and maintain accurate inventory count
- Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments where necessary
- Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution/logistics, packing/warehousing environment
- Logistics experience and a relevant post-secondary education along with evidence of continued learning, ideally with certifications such as P.Log or similar certification, and business certification
- 5 years of experience in a Supervisory role is preferred
- Working knowledge of operations, milling, and packing processes
- Working knowledge of quality control practices and BRC regulations
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines, P&H Milling’s food and safety policy
- Maintenance/mechanical knowledge
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Team leadership and teambuilding abilities
