Host/hostess

**Overview**
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest flow effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

**Duties**
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations or answering questions as needed.
- Utilize POS systems for managing waitlists and reservations efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest concerns or requests promptly.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with food service operations is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to help others enjoy their dining experience.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
