Landscape Labourer

Thunderbolt Contracting is a family-owned landscape contractor located in the Nation’s Capital since 1992. We have a dedicated team of over 150 employees and a modern fleet of equipment to take care of each project from start to finish. We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking labourers to join our team and be part of our ever-expanding portfolio of commercial and residential landscape projects. This is an ideal position for someone looking to gain more experience in the industry and begin building a rewarding career path in a team environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for working outdoors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Construct walkways, patios, retaining walls, etc.
- Plant trees, shrubs, perennials, flowers etc.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete project.
- Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, and hand lifting/carrying.
- Operate various hand tools, power tools and small engine equipment including quick cut, plate packer, chainsaw, etc.
- Follow safety protocols while using equipment and handling materials to prevent accidents.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and equipment after use.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in landscape construction preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping is advantageous.
- Reliable transportation to and from site.
- Ability to maintain professional company image.
- Follow health & safety regulations of our profession.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physically demanding tasks.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- landscaping: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)
