Daycare Cook

**Job Summary**

**Duties**

• Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks while adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring all food handling practices are followed.
• Assist with meal planning and preparation, including cooking and serving meals..
• Meal preparation for 80 plus kids daily from scratch.
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability top bake.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive team environment.

**Experience**

• Previous experience in a daycare or childcare setting is preferred
• Background in food service or the food industry is highly beneficial, including skills in meal preparation, cooking, and food handling.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Cpr and standard first aid certificate required.
• Food handlers certificate required.
• Police check required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children and their families.
• A nurturing attitude with a passion for fostering children's growth and development.

Pay: $16.55-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
