**Barrie Chrysler**is currently seeking a **Service Advisor** to join our team of customer focused professionals within our high volume and process-driven dealership.
**Purpose/Summary of Position**:
This role is responsible for coordinating internal repair orders for the sales department on new vehicle deliveries and used vehicle reconditioning, and organizing necessary sublets.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for writing internal service repair orders for used cars, creating estimates, ensure work is being dispatched into the shop for the technician to work on, and/or sublet repairs when necessary
- Follow up on each repair and keep sales managers and service managers informed of progress
- Inspect repair quality and ensure that all work is complete
- Keep Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems
- Follow the process with used vehicle log and other software, outlook, excel.
- Backup advisor support/greeter for service department as required.
- Ordering parts and following up on special orders for delivered vehicles with the booking team.
- Writing safety certificates for sales upon vehicle sale.
- Communicate with technicians on open work orders.
- Coordinate with detail department on deliveries.
- Coordinate with the tower operator to ensure vehicles are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure recall is performed on new and used vehicles prior to delivery.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Strong Microsoft excel and outlook skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Knowledge of DMS systems: Reynolds/Ignite, I-Recon preferred but not required
- General knowledge of the automotive industry, preferably Ford/Domestic products preferred not required.
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Post-Secondary Education Preferred
