**Description**

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Give priority to the developmental needs and interests of each child in care, as well as their specific medical, emotional and health needs.
- The person selected for this position must have had sufficient experience working with young children and be able to meet the requirements of the licensing agency.
- Engage with children throughout the day and can engage with children in different times of the daily schedule like mealtime, circle, outdoor activity etc.
- Housekeeping duties as required to maintain program - cleaning the room (sweeping and vacuuming), disinfecting toys and washrooms, setting up and putting away of lunchroom and sleep room, setting up different play centers.
- Communicate appropriately with staff and parents

**Qualifications**
- Hold a valid First Aid and Level C CPR Certificate which is to be obtained on their own time.
- Complete a Vulnerable Sector Check (police check) via OPP
- Proof of immunizations
- This person must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate to both children and adults.

**Application Requirements**

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 3-4 months

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
