Providence Living Society's Central City Lodge and Cooper Place has provided care to disadvantaged elders from the inner city for over 100 years and we are now recognized by Vancouver Coastal Health as a Specialized Care Facility.

We are currently recruiting for:
**POSTING: HEU - Facilities Subsector**

**STATUS: Casual**

**CLASSIFICATION: (15301) Resident Care Aide**

**WORK AREA: Central City Lodge - Care Department**

**EFFECTIVE DATE: TBD**

**HOURS: Days; Evenings; 0700-1500; 1500-2300**

**SALARY: $26.93 per Hour**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Responsible to the Director of Care and working under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse; this position performs a variety of routine nursing procedures and related duties necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of residents.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training and Experience**:
Grade 10, plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.

**Potentially eligible employees must be eligible for single site employment until provincial restrictions are amended**
