What role will you play?

You will be joining an innovative and highly skilled team of Database Administrators; providing in-depth SQL Server database support to the Canada Post Group of Companies. The role will involve building, maintaining and supporting medium sized SQL Server clustered databases. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to provide Tech leadership for projects and solution designs the DBA team is involved in.

What will you be responsible for (Apart from Innovating)?
Provide DBA support to established SQL Server databases in development, test and production environments.
Be a leader in the area of Database Solution design. Work closely with project teams to develop “best fit” database solutions to meet project and business requirements.
Adheres to operational and documentation standards and processes (including standard build, version control and migration processes).
Develops and maintains physical data models for custom built databases and provides input into the development of logical data models.
Follows established security compliance, audit and access management practices.
Researches and evaluates new and /or alternative solutions within area of expertise to enhance operational effectiveness
Provides technical expertise/assistance to other Team members, Innovapost teams and clients.
Works closely with projects and user communities to ensure the successful implementation of products/changes into the database environments.

Windows Administration course work and/or certification
SQL Server Administration course work and/or certification
PostgreSQL Administration course work and/or certification
AWS Cloud support course work and/or certification
Azure Cloud support course work and/or certification
IT Leadership coursework or equivalent experience
Education
Post graduate diploma in the field of Information Technology (IT) support.
Relevant SQL Server Database Administration training.
