SUMMARY

Think Shift is looking for a talented copywriter to join our award-winning creative team As we continue to grow, we are in search of an individual with the ability to contribute to our creative ideation through compelling copy. With an understanding of marketing and experience with the creative writing process, you will work with multi-disciplinary professionals from other departments toward a common goal. You’ll receive mentorship that will encourage you to share your ideas and challenge convention while learning in a supportive, collaborative environment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES?

85% Copywriting & Content Creation
- Writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums including organic social, paid digital, web and traditional.
- Collaborating with project leads, teams and clients to ensure creative concepts, tactics, tone and voice are on-brand.
- Understanding client brand guidelines and being able to pivot between brand voices for various executions.
- Approaching work with a strategic lens, ensuring the team is hitting the brief while challenging convention.
- Taking ownership of projects as a self-starter, while also collaborating with the teams.
- Working with freelance writers as required.
- Reviewing and copy-editing work as required.

10% Concept Development
- Brainstorming with project teams and clients to come up with ideas for campaigns, creative and copy.
- Collaborating with teams and identifying and defining new creative possibilities for clients.
- Presenting messaging and rationalizing the strategic approach with confidence.

?5% Miscellaneous
- Participating in agency meetings.
- Participating in client meetings when appropriate.
- Assist in the development of creative briefs by?working with internal teams and client teams to define concepts, identify target audiences and kickstart the creative process.
- Contributing ideas to help the agency run more efficiently.
- Participating in and contributing to the new business activities of the agency.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in advertising, communications, journalism or another writing-related field (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
- 3 years of experience writing for a variety of media (ad copy, social, writing for the web, print journalism, technical writing, scriptwriting, etc.).
- An ideas person who is always looking for a fresh approach.
- A detail-oriented and organized individual with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- A self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and has great time management skills.
- Someone skilled at working well both independently and in teams, with the ability to pivot quickly between the two.
- An individual with strong presentation skills.
- A people-person with a desire to engage with coworkers and agency culture.
