About the Role
Based off a multi-facility model, MJardin is looking to hire an experienced and hands-on Facility Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for the commissioning, installation, and maintenance of all equipment and building systems for both MJardin facilities in Brampton and Dunnville, Ontario.
This role will require travel between the two facilities and will be accountable for implementation of preventative maintenance programs, prioritization of planned and unplanned maintenance activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain the plant’s machinery and equipment, while continually improving processes to minimize disruption to production
- Troubleshoot and repair/replace faulty equipment such as HVAC, controls systems, grow lights, processing equipment at both facilities (Brampton and Dunnville)
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment in accordance with MJardin’s standardized operational procedures (SOP’s) to stay on track with production targets
- Install, maintain, and repair/replace interior wiring systems, transformers, switching equipment, relays, motors, and other electronic systems
- Maintain internal service records (manual and online) by preparing plans, sketches, and specifications, requisition materials
- Attend Health Canada inspection and stay up to date with Health Canada regulations to ensure MJardin’s internal SOP’s meet the provincial laws and regulations
- Oversee and provide strategic work direction and training to contractors, vendors and MJardin staff, training new hires on SOP’s and procedures
- Reading and interpreting drawings, electrical blueprints, and sketches
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years’ experience in a site maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience building and leading facility maintenance teams
- Recent hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and completing preventative maintenance on different types of equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment
- Valid G License with access to reliable transportation to and from both facilities
- An Ontario or Inter-Provincial (309A/Red Seal) Electrician Certificate of Qualification, an asset
- Completion of Apprenticeship as an Electrician, an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross functional team members
- Demonstrated initiative, agility, and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and working conditions.

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that requires but is not limited to, 40 hours per week. Operational hours are dependent on the client and facility operations. This position may be required to work weekends and holidays. Have reliable transportation to and from the facilities.

Working conditions
The Facility Maintenance Manager’s role will be expected to travel between Brampton to Dunnville. This role may be exposed to pollen, allergens, and chemical pesticides at the facility. As well as fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, protective gear, vibrations, and water. This role also involves repetitive and/or long periods of sitting, squatting, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling 50 lbs, and kneeling.
