The Carleton Golf & Yacht Club is currently seeking a:
**Golf Shop Supervisor**

Located along the banks of the Rideau River in Manotick just minutes from downtown Ottawa, Carleton was one of the first golf course residential communities established in North America. Established in 1963, CGYC is a member-owned private facility known for its outstanding course conditions, friendly atmosphere, and an unwavering commitment to offering an unforgettable member experience. In recent years, Carleton has hosted the PGA of Ottawa Zone Championship, PGA Canadian Seniors’ Championship, and numerous Ottawa Valley Golf Association events. CGYC is currently constructing a brand-new TrackMan indoor golf facility. With the anticipated growth of our indoor golf facility, this position has strong potential to grow into a full-year term.

**SCHEDULED HOURS**: 40 Hours/Week. Includes some evenings and weekends.

**START DATE**:Immediate

**SUMMARY OF POSITION**: Supervise a retail store and manage daily tee-time and member check in. This position requires work both indoors and outdoors in the Golf Services department.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Providing first class service to members and guests
- Supervising and assisting the Member Services staff
- Placing special orders and recording product upon its arrival
- Merchandising of apparel, equipment and other golf related products
- Assistance in the administration of golf events
- Periodic operation of a golf simulator
- Assistance in the administration of the tee sheet booking system
- Operate Golf Carts safely
- Lifting requirements: 25kg above head

**EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE**:

- Work requires the ability to understand and follow instructions normally acquired through a college diploma or university degree level education
- Customer service experience is an asset
- Positive, professional attitude and a team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Proactive thinker who is able to prioritize their time in a fast-paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
