What You’ll Do
Join our dynamic team and embark on a fulfilling career. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about heavy equipment and eager to join us as a **Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician** based out of **Cornwall, Ontario**.
As a **technician operating out of a service truck**, you will play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of medium and heavy-duty trucks. You will be responsible for delivering efficient and high-quality service, repairs, adjustments, and maintenance as directed by the Fleet Manager. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently with mínimal supervision.
**Your core responsibilities will include**
- Interpreting work orders and technical manuals to execute tasks accurately.
- Conducting preventative maintenance and adjustments to ensure the longevity and safety of our vehicles.
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults and malfunctions efficiently.
- Completing warranty repairs with correct OEM procedures
- Executing tasks specified in work orders and replacing or repairing defective parts, components, or systems with precision.
- Assessing vehicles to determine the need for additional safety or service work.
- Conducting comprehensive tests on repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Managing a small inventory of essential parts and tools to support on-site repairs and maintenance.
- Preparing detailed written reports upon the completion of work orders.
What We’re Looking For
- 2 - 3 years of on-road experience working with heavy-duty equipment.
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician certification is preferred.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Possession of a Class 3 Driver's License or Air Brake Endorsement is considered a valuable asset.
- Cummins / Insite experience a valuable asset
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
