**Overview**:
The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of our organization. The new incumbent will be responsible for providing insightful financial reports, conducting in-depth analysis and collaborating with cross functional teams to understand and manage budget variances.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide monthly financial report and variance analysist for discussion with the senior controller & management team.
- Compile and analyze monthly P&L and margin variances. Work with other departments to understand and manage variances to budget, forecast and prior year.
- Develop other ad hoc reporting and with supporting documentation as required.
- Recommends and implements methods for increasing the company's efficiency and profitability.
- Generate financial reporting metrics and analyze financial performance trends vs. business objectives.
- Contribute to the gathering, analysis and reporting of business performance indicators.
- Complete detail analysis of variable and fixed expenses.
- Develop financial modeling of all major business drivers as required. Provide ad hoc analysis on those main business drivers.
- Support annual budget and strategic plan processes and assist in the detailed analysis of the financials.
- Develop business cases for key strategic initiatives/capital investments/other Finance projects.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to CFO, Senior Controller and general managers.

**Top Competencies Required to be successful in this role.**
- Financial Modeling experience
- Advanced competency with Excel, Power Query/BI
- Excellent communication skills
- Public practice exposure in audit and financial reporting for SMEs.

**Requirements**:

- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- Completing or completed CPA designation.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the areas of financial reporting, business/financial analysis, statutory compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail.
- Strong relationship-building ability
- Demonstrate experience as a practicing Senior Business Analyst across a variety of sectors.
- Demonstrate experience eliciting, developing, documenting and/or managing requirements, business process models, use cases, and business rules throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Basic coding experience preferred (SQL, python, or M).
