Damage Prevention Technician

Hamilton, Canada Frontier Utility Locating Services Inc. Full time

We are currently seeking Damage Prevention Technicians. Responsibilities will include locating a wide variety of both private and public utility lines, on sites ranging from vacant lots to heavy industrial. Technicians will be required to work alone or in teams on complex and demanding projects, to utilize problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills, liaise with clients and property owners in a professional, courteous manner. Strong technical drawing and written communication skills are required. Technicians must have at least two (2) years’ experience in utility locating, have a strong desire to learn, and demonstrate excellent skills in both locating and reporting. Additional training will be provided.
Applicants must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing, security screening, and possess a clean driving record. Strong English language skills are required. You must be self-motivated and organized.
Travel may be required as part of the position.
