**JOB SUMMARY**

The Material Handler is responsible for handling and processing all types of material received and shipped out of the warehouse. They are responsible for ensuring that materials are placed in their proper location and are available for use when needed; while accurately processing paperwork to ensure inventory accuracy. The Material Handler is also responsible for assisting in the assembly of production items when required and various tasks associated with manufacturing.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Receive incoming material and verify for accuracy
- Assemble, count, weigh or measure items and complete appropriate paperwork
- Kit Work Orders for assembly/production
- Production assembly
- Palletize, stack, place and arrange items in storage locations with consideration of their size, shape, weight, quantity, type, stock number and other storage factors
- Pick, pack and process shipments
- Accurately process material and inventory transfers
- Assist the teams with preparation for conducting physical inventory/cycle counts while conducting daily cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records
- Follow workplace operating and environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines

**REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle high volume of work with pressing deadlines
- Experience with production assembly
- Familiarity in UPS and FedEx shipping systems is an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
