- Reporting to the Director of Operations, the
- **_Warehouse Operations Manager_** is responsible for the execution of strategic direction and day to day leadership of Warehouse Operations. This role will effectively manage and lead the operational warehouse team, to drive success through Key Performance Indicators while promoting the highest quality customer satisfaction.- This is a mid-senior level Management role with up to 5 direct reports and a total team of 50+ operating nationally out of multiple locations.**Temporary Full-time Position '“ 12 months**
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Maintain a Safe Work environment in compliance with all provincial legislative requirements
- Budget preparation and monitoring of department P&L's to manage within the guidelines of the operating budget.
- Analyzes and report on all warehouse logistic key performance indicators and trend analysis
- Handle customer escalations that require increased attention outside of normal day-to-day activities.
- Build strong third-party vendor relationships (particularly carriers and 3rd party logistics services providers)
- Management of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- ISO Process documentation creation, review and updates
- Contribute to RFP responses related to warehouse activities and transportation
- Participate in new customer integration and onboarding
- Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and participate in cross functional project teams
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and decrease costs across the Warehouse and Operations teams
- Supporting supervisors with people management activities including but not limited to recruitment, development, motivation and discipline of staff, ensuring proper documentation and keeping accurate records for effective performance management.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain/Logistics is preferred
- A proven leader with the ability to manage cross functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to develop and build strong successful teams
- A track record of delivering sustained, quantifiable results
- Advanced knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers at all levels
- Data driven with an ability to use statistical analysis to make sound strategic decisions
- Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, agile work environment
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving ability
- Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines and performance objectives
- Aptitude to negotiate with senior level decision makers both inside and outside the organization
