**Summary**

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Lead Shipper/Receiver is directly responsible for overseeing and supervising operations and safety within the warehouse.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the handling, shipping, receiving and storage of supplies and equipment
- Supervising a team of warehouse assistants with their various roles and duties
- On-board and progressively train new warehouse employees
- Assign daily job duties and workload to warehouse staff members
- Notify freight companies of upcoming shipment requirements
- Send dispatch orders to P&D driver
- Assist warehouse members with picking/packing/checking and shipping of daily shipments
- Conduct JSA and CTA meetings with warehouse staff
- Assist in warehouse layout and space requirements to prevent loss or damage to achieve full warehouse optimization
- Uphold and enforce all corporate policies and facility guidelines regarding security and safety to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with physical inventory counts
- Assist with warehouse maintenance when required
- Assist in locating missed shipments of items when required
- Take part in the after-hour on-call rotation
- Various other duties as required
- Make decisions with little or no supervision in the best interest of Precision Drilling
- Hold information in strict confidence
- Maintain professional relationships with warehouse team members
- Set and lead by example
- Follow and uphold Precision Drilling policies and procedures

**Knowledge & Skills**
- 3 years of progressive experience in a similar role
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
- Strong material handling skills, including fork-lift operation
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team, as well as independently
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Valid driver's license

**Education**

High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Post Secondary Certificate, Diploma or Degree in a related field is considered an asset

**Experience**

Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Strong material handling skills, including fork-lift operation

Strong leadership skills to mentor staff members
