Warehouse and Logistics Assistant

**TITLE**: Warehouse and Logistics Assistant

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Process shipped orders in Genius ERP System
- Create packing slips for picked orders
- Inspect and verify outgoing customer orders
- Verify and coordinate received product for reshipment to vendors
- Assist in maintaining accurate internal record keeping systems using Genius ERP system
- Create backorder paperwork
- Create courier shipments and returns, prepare customs documents and bill of ladings for common carrier and courier
- Work with all departments and logistic companies to ensure accurate shipping details
- Maintain communication with customers by forwarding notices, shipment dates and any other status related to their shipments
- Trace and track shipments as requested by internal or external customers
- Communicate shipped projects and/or backorders with Project Management team
- Work with Production, Project Management and Purchasing to investigate and resolve shipping / receiving discrepancies
- Document transfers of product between facilities
- Assist with inventory cycle counting
- Assist with parts picking
- Audit inventory to monitor and confirm inventory records as requested
- Be available to perform backup deliver driver if dictated by high volume of deliveries
- Attend all company meetings and training as required
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety protocols and quality management

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Exceptional problem-solving skills and be detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Must be able to function successfully in a busy, fast paced environment
- Knowledge of shipping receiving and quality control practices preferred
- Experience with Genius ERP software an asset
- Professional and respectful interpersonal and customer skills
- Accept accountability and responsibility
- Previous Forklift and Reach truck experience and/or certification an asset
- Familiarity with WHMIS and SDS
- Must be capable of working well as part of a team
- Physically able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to work effectively under pressure in time sensitive situations and adapt well to change
- Valid G License with clean driving abstract
